All quality non-profit organizations need community resources to help them achieve their goals. At AIDS Project Rhode Island, volunteers are not only welcomed and appreciated, but are an integral part of our operation.
Because we serve so many individuals living with HIV/AIDS and because the demand for more accessible information regarding sexually transmitted infections is so great, volunteers are needed to work in a variety of programs.

Data Entry
Data Entry
Data entry experience, dependability and attention to detail are required for this position. Experience using Microsoft Excel and Access software preferable.
Day Receptionist
Our volunteer receptionists operate a simple switchboard and greet visitors to the Project during office hours. Occasionally volunteers may be asked to complete light clerical duties such as stuffing envelopes.
Requirements include one-hour training and orientation. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one four-hour shift per week for at least six months.
Administrative Support
Dependabiity and ability to follow directions are needed for this position. Some clerical experience is helpful. These volunteers are contacted on an as-needed basis.
Bulk Mail Team
Become a part of our team of volunteers completing the Project’s bulk mail tasks. Volunteers help prepare mailings by photocopying, folding, stuffing, labeling, sorting, bundling, etc. Volunteers are notified when various projects arise.
